The Prince Akatoki

A beautifully executed and well-considered hotel branding project by Interbrand Australia for The Prince Akatoki London, bringing together multiple mediums to present the concept, the execution pays homage and respect to Japanese culture and arguably, most crucially the hotel name (Akatoki meaning Dawn, in Japanese).

Brought to life through a blend of tradition and modernity, using a subtle on-point Japanese aesthetic (with a neat typographical grid layout in motion) these illustrations are presented primarily on Fusuma panels (the basis of the brand philosophy) and carried through onto the hotel brand livery, cosmetics and interior design, such a wonderfully crafted project and communicated excellently through the explainer video.
